General warranty conditions

Limited manufacturer's warranty from LAS Systeme GmbH

As a quality provider, it's important to us that you, as a customer, receive not only a high-quality product but also a corresponding warranty. Should a product purchased from us not function properly, we deeply regret this and ask you to contact us.

We provide a guarantee on all products purchased from us subject to the following terms and conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Guarantee holder

Warranty holders are exclusively entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB) who have purchased a product covered by this warranty from LAS, provided the purchase was made for commercial purposes or for the purposes of their independent professional activity (e.g., commercial use, commercial resale, or commercial installation by third parties). However, a warranty claim regarding the same warranty product can only be asserted once by a warranty holder and not multiple times by different warranty holders in the sales chain.

This limited warranty applies exclusively to products that were / are produced by LAS or to products of other manufacturers that were incorporated into LAS products by LAS.

Warranty period

The warranty period for a product begins on the date of invoice to the first purchaser of the product and ends upon expiry of the warranty period stated on the respective product data sheet and is valid for a maximum burning time of 3000 hours per year.

In the event of a justified assertion of a warranty claim, LAS will, at its own discretion, provide the following alternative warranty service:

  • Free repair
  • Replacement delivery of an identical or equivalent product
  • Reimbursement of a reasonable amount as a reduction of the purchase price

Warranty claim

There are no warranty claims if the product defect is due to rechargeable batteries or batteries, if the product defect was caused by overheating or force majeure, or if it was caused by the customer or another third party.

Furthermore, the warranty is void for product defects caused by improper installation, maintenance, repair, or care. Fragile parts (e.g., glass bulbs) are excluded from the warranty. Failure of individual LED chips, deviations in luminous flux and power consumption of the product by +/- 101°C, as well as deviations in light color by +/- 150°C, comply with applicable standards and do not constitute a defect.

Natural wear and tear, in particular a reduction in the nominal luminous flux due to service life or light discoloration due to product aging as well as insignificant deviations from any agreed quality, are excluded from the guarantee.

Upon request, the warranty holder must provide the defective product for inspection. In this case, the defective warranty product must be sent complete, with sufficient postage, and in shatter-proof packaging.

Claims by the customer, in particular for damages (e.g. installation and removal costs), are excluded.

Requirements

A warranty claim requires a detailed written description of the defect and a copy of the original invoice. The defect report must be submitted promptly, at the latest within one week of the defect being discovered.

Furthermore, the assertion of warranty rights requires that the warranty holder has fulfilled his payment obligation.

If warranty claims are asserted and LAS's inspection of the goods reveals that there was no defect or that the warranty claim is invalid for one of the reasons stated, LAS is entitled to charge a service fee. This does not apply if the customer can prove that, given the circumstances, they could not have recognized that the warranty claim was invalid.

Should one or more provisions of these warranty conditions, or parts of a provision, be or become invalid or void in whole or in part, or should they contain a gap, the validity of the provisions or partial provisions shall remain valid and shall be replaced by provisions that most closely correspond to the purpose of the contract. The same applies to any unintentional gaps in the provisions.

Changes to the warranty conditions must be made in writing.

Any other contractual or statutory rights applicable to the product by the warranty holder remain unaffected by this warranty.

The granting of the warranty does not extend or renew the original warranty period.
LAS reserves the right to amend or supplement these warranty terms and conditions at any time at its sole discretion, with future effect. In such case, valid warranty claims based on this version of the terms and conditions remain unaffected and may continue to be asserted by the warranty holder within the respective warranty period in accordance with the provisions of this version.

This guarantee is subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Registration 7 year warranty

We are confident in the quality of our products. Therefore, upon registration, we offer a seven-year extended warranty on selected and labeled products, starting from the date of delivery to the first purchaser.
