A look back at a special training event
As a BISSness partner, we appreciate the exceptional atmosphere provided by the Cologne Sharks – and this training day was anything but ordinary. On October 10, 2025, the legendary players' locker room of the Sharks in Cologne Arena 2 was transformed into what was probably the most athletic training room in Germany. Surrounded by equipment and tactics boards, I presented the latest highlights from the LAS product range together with colleagues from the sales force.
When the training room becomes a stage
Our guests from the wholesale trade, planners, and installers experienced products that truly inspired them. The FLEXO series, in particular, impressed with its simplicity and efficiency in skylight renovation. Direct discussions revealed just how ingeniously designed these solutions are. For some, the glimpse into current innovations and future developments was even more exciting: "You're too late – this product is so brilliant, it should have been available much sooner," remarked one lighting designer with a smile.
Our partner Holophane also provided some real "aha" moments: The HOLOBAY model, a massive LED high-bay light presented in video and practical demonstrations, left a lasting impression with its weight, feel and robustness.

Light, offspring & a thank you from the young sharks
A special moment of the day was the thank-you speech by Holger Rathke, who thanked LAS on behalf of the young sharks for their support.

Behind the scenes of the Cologne Sharks
After the training session, there was an exclusive tour of the Cologne Arena 2, the Sharks' training center, where stars like Moritz Müller and Justin Schütz train daily. Between the fitness rooms, locker rooms, and the professional ice rink, it became clear how much work, passion, and discipline goes into every game day.
A member of the team gave us exciting personal insights: from the meticulously timed daily training routine to the fine-tuning of the equipment, which is individually adapted to each player – there are twelve different grinds for the ice skates alone.
This atmosphere, where precision meets passion, thrilled us all and made the day unforgettable.

Team spirit leads to victory
The evening spent together at the Lanxess Arena was the perfect ending. In our box, we enjoyed good conversation, Kölsch beer, and pure excitement. After falling behind and a poor first period, the Sharks fought back impressively and won 4-3 against Ingolstadt.
Whether training, innovation, or sports – this day demonstrated the powerful impact of connection. The special atmosphere encouraged networking, and our guests clearly felt at ease. Looking back, we are left not only with the impression of a successful event, but also with the pride of being part of a strong community that is growing together.
We are already looking forward to the next event in November – guaranteed to be full of energy, enthusiasm and brilliance made by LAS.
